唐本忠

唐本忠

唐本忠,男,高分子化學家。香港科技大學講座教授,中國科學院院士,英國皇家化學會會士。 主要從事高分子合成方法論的探索、先進功能材料的開發以及聚集誘導發光(AIE)現象的研究。發明了合成炔類聚合物的新催化體系,開拓了從炔類單體製備線性和超支化高分子的新聚合途徑,製備了一系列具有光、電、磁、熱和生物活性的新功能材料。發現了反常的AIE現象、解釋了AIE過程的機理,並將AIE效應有效地套用到發光器件、化學檢測和生物感測等技術領域。曾獲2007年裘槎高級研究成就獎、國家自然科學二等獎等。2009年當選中國科學院院士。 2018年,憑藉在“聚集誘導發光”領域的開創性貢獻,唐本忠團隊獲得國家自然科學獎一等獎。

個人經歷

唐本忠 唐本忠

1957年2月生於湖北潛江,籍貫湖南津市。1982年畢業於華南理工大學高分子科學與工程系,獲工學學士學位,1985年、1988年先後獲日本京都大學高分子化學系碩士、博士學位。曾在加拿大多倫多大學化學與藥學系從事博士後研究、日本NEOS公司中央研究所任高級研究員。1994年7月至今歷任香港科技大學化學系助理教授、副教授、教授、講座教授。2006年3月受聘為浙江大學“光彪講座教授”。2009年當選中國科學院院士。唐本忠院士是華南理工大學雙聘院士。

發表學術論文1200多篇,已被引用58000多次,h因子為118。 被Thomson Reuters評為化學和材料科學領域的Highly Cited Researcher。應邀為Chem. Rev.,Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res.和Prog. Polym. Sci.等高影響力雜誌撰寫了27篇綜述文章和40篇專著章節。工作42次被C&EN(化學與工程新聞)、《自然》出版社《亞洲材料》等亮點報導、1次入選《大英百科全書》、9次被Acc.Chem. Res., Chem. Commun., Macromolecules和J. Mater.Chem.等選做封面。在學術會議上作了300多場邀請報告(50多場大會報告和20多場主題報告),擁有美國授權專利10項;美國專利申請21項,其中PCT申請5項。曾獲國家自然科學二等獎、Croucher高級研究成就獎、中國化學會高分子基礎研究王葆仁獎和Elservier雜誌社馮新德聚合物獎。

獲獎情況

2007年獲國家自然科學二等獎、Croucher基金會高級研究員獎、中國化學會王葆仁獎和Polymer雜誌社馮新德獎。現為美國化學會Noteworthy Chemistry專欄科學新聞撰稿人和多家國際科學雜誌顧問、編委或客座編輯。

2018年1月,唐本忠教授主持完成的“聚集誘導發光”獲國家自然科學獎一等獎。這是香港第二次獲得國家自然科學獎一等獎。
