基本情況
雷建設，男，博士，1969年5月出生。中國地震局研究員，碩士研究生導師。 1993年畢業於山西師範大學物理系，獲學士學位。 1996年畢業於中國地震局蘭州地震研究所，獲碩士學位。 1996-1998年在山西省地震局工作，從事震害預測工作。 2002年畢業於中國科學技術大學研究生院(北京)，獲理學博士學位。 2002-至今 中國地震局地殼應力研究所地殼動力學研究室工作。 2002-2003年多次訪問日本愛嬡大學。 2003-2005年在日本愛嬡大學地球動力學研究中心從事博士後研究。
研究領域
主要從事多尺度多震相地震層析成像的理論及套用方面的研究工作，包括地幔柱起源、俯衝板塊機制、地震和火山發生機理等。
學術成就
獲省局級防震減災優秀成果獎三等獎兩項、所級防震減災優秀成果一等獎一項、“第五屆李善邦青年優秀地震科技論文獎”二等獎一項。發表學術論文三十餘篇，其中與地震層析成像有關的論文十餘篇。主要代表論著： Lei, J., Zhao, D., 2007.
