生於1978年3月3日，卒於2009年6月5日。享年31。出生在美國Milwaukee Wisconsin的Jeff Hanson四歲時，在家人的影響下，開始接觸音樂。憑著出色獨特的嗓音，13歲時加入M.I.J樂隊。擁有小女孩般甜美聲線的男孩Jeff Hanson，分不清男女的聲線，在朦朧溫暖的背景音樂的襯托下，也許矇騙了不少樂迷雙耳多時。音樂中簡單清新的和弦分解，使Jeff的音樂顯得更為柔美、淳樸些。雖說Jeff的聲線很是迷惑人，然而較為仔細的聽，他在處理中低音以及漸強的高音部分還是顯示出了男性特有的渾厚。他是位多才的年少歌手。專輯的一切都由自己包辦。樂器演奏，歌詞，旋律

2009年6月5日，Jeff Hanson被發現死於前不久才搬進去的位於聖保羅的公寓裡。根據屍檢報告，死亡原因為混合服用藥物導致的中毒。目前，相關部門尚不能確定Hanson的死因究竟是意外還是謀殺。
