馬克·卡森簡介

馬克·卡森(Mark Casson)生於1945年,英國雷丁大學經濟學教授。早期致力於創業家的研究,近年又專注於創業理論與道統企業理論融合的研究。卡森之前的經濟學文獻大都從功能觀點給創業家下定義,強調創業家的作用並認為發揮這些作用的人就是創業家。在各式各樣的創業家功能中缺乏一條貫穿其中的主線。卡森堅持從倫理人假設和有限理性假設,沿著方法論個人主義契約理論的“路徑”,從所有關於創業家的經濟理論和心理學、社會學的論述中,概括出創業家行為本身的性質,建立了一個創業家需求供給和“創業家市場”均衡的理論框架,並對之進行了模型化。卡森並指出,創業的經濟理論與交易費用經濟學、基於資源的企業理論等現代企業理論有著緊密的聯繫。卡森創業理論的核心是“創業家式判斷(Entrepreneurial judgment)。
