基本信息
郭再勤，筆名銳石，1962年生，從事教學工作二十餘年。祖籍陝西省神木縣，現定居北京。曾從師著名畫家白庚延先生。作品《秋山明淨而如妝》曾展出於原中國歷史博物館且被收藏，國畫《敕勒川》獲第三屆世界華人藝術大獎金獎，作品收錄《世界華人文學藝術名人錄》，《世界美術集》，《世界名人錄》等多部典籍。
藝術觀點
郭再勤與筆者談及他的創作思路和心得時說：“中西合璧是我今生追尋的道路。黃賓虹如果說是開創了現代山水畫的新局面，那么畢卡索為西方繪畫鋪墊了新的基石。而馬蒂斯大膽的色彩誇張，為當今浪漫主義藝術的發展指明了新的方向，不管中國畫，還是西方繪畫，各自有著不同的繪畫語言，任何藝術到了一個新的時期，都會有一個新的面目。文藝復興時期的寫實性繪畫，在今天不復存在，但新的寫實繪畫還在繼續，正如同宋朝范寬的畫是一個面目，而清朝的石濤則是另一個面目，中國畫的最高境界是氣韻，但離開筆墨是不復存在的，如果說筆墨是中國畫的精髓，那么色彩就是西洋畫的血液，離開色彩，西畫就不存在了。如果在我們的中國畫當中吸收到西畫的色彩，以及西畫的結構表現，又何嘗不可呢？現在有許多中國畫家均嘗試著將西畫融入到中國畫中來，如劉海粟、吳冠中等人，他們不是結合的很好嗎？我們並不要將自己（中國畫）封閉起來，應該讓中國畫吸收更多更好的營養，成長起來，將世界優秀的文化融合進來，來更好的完善中國畫，另外也可以用中國畫去畫世界，我們的國人應該走出去，讓中國人了解世界，讓世界也認識中國和中國畫，上世紀馬蒂斯的繪畫不是也吸收了中國畫嗎？也只有這樣，才能使中西繪畫融合的更好。我自己是這樣摸索著，尋找一條新路，別人沒有走過的充滿荊棘的路。”
在郭再勤先生的新作品中，用直線對畫面“切割”已成為他藝術表達的重要手法。不惜借鑑西方現代的抽象構成形式，甚至藉助現代藝術精神對“幾何學”理念的推崇，將水墨本體的形式美感都統一在主觀情感的宣洩和感覺之中，而成為心靈抒情的一種形式，使之從物質層面上升到精神層面。
其本人追求的是未來，願望是創造，在追求藝術的道路上，他甘願做藝術的探險者。他說：“一個畫家要追求藝術的真本，必須跳出當代紛紜喧囂的假象，時時從歷史的角度衡量自己，這需要冷靜、自信、約束和創新。”
白庚延先生評價“其山水畫意境開闊，氣勢雄偉，筆法蒼勁，茂密而不繁，峭秀而不蹇，可謂繁簡天成，構圖獨特，自成一體。
