生平
他生於倫敦，父親是製片人JohnHeyman，母親JohnHeyman是一名演員，其父具有德國猶太人血統，母親是英格蘭人。1983年大衛取得哈佛大學藝術史學位。起初他擔任大衛·里恩於1984年執導的電影APassagetoIndia的製片助理。1986年成為華納兄弟公司的創作監督。1980年代後期成為聯美公司副主席，之後成為獨立製片人，首部製片作品為1992年的美國犯罪片Juice。1997年返回倫敦並創建了屬於自己的製片公司HeydayFilms，從此製作了一系列具有影響力的電影。
個人生活
海曼居住於中倫敦，妻子是室內設計師Rose(Batstone)Uniacke，兩人育有一個兒子[1][2]。電影作品
