創作背景
歌曲的創作和製作由黑眼豆豆的四位成員共同完成。黑眼豆豆創立者威廉姆·亞當斯 （will.i.am）從全世界數位化中得到啟發，從而產生了這首歌的創作靈感。 威廉姆·亞當斯說，這首歌的創作深受他在悉尼夜店裡聽到的電音的影響。當時他正在悉尼拍攝電影《金剛狼》，在夜店中，他遇見一個印度的音樂製作團體，並受到了他們的影響。威廉姆·亞當斯表示歌曲的歌詞受到了音樂錄影帶的未來觀的鼓舞。

《Boom Boom Pow》是一首有趣搞笑的機械流行歌曲，它沒有真正意味上的副歌，歌曲伴隨著808次心碎風格的節奏以及中途大量的Auto-Tune電子合成音變得有傳染力。而菲姬從“I'm so 3008, you're so 2000 and late”中傳遞了復古迪斯科的味道。 的中有Auto-Tune顫音、組成怪異的不嚴格副歌、尖叫的迪斯科哀號、808次“Boom”和形形色色的打油詩的說唱。“I got that . . . digital spit/Next-level visual shit”是一種對感官的衝擊方式，還具有很好的味道。

MV開頭，Taboo在一個觸摸式筆記本電腦螢幕上選擇圖片，最後他選了一張類似蘑菇雲的圖片。然後，黑眼豆豆的成員開始出現唱歌。消極的圖形變成積極的圖形，蘑菇雲變成樹搖擺，手榴彈變成麥克風，一把槍變成喇叭，核筒變成開始敲鼓。 MV表達了“未來世界”的主題。

2010年2月，芝加哥詞曲家Phoenix Phenom和鋒曼弗雷德·莫爾在芝加哥法庭提出指控《The Black Eyed》著作權侵犯的訴訟，原告稱《The Black Eyed》抄襲了他們的歌曲《Boom Dynamite》。這對詞曲作者還稱他們曾把那首作品呈遞給新視鏡唱片。
