介紹
Rahab ：在中文聖經中翻譯為喇合。其名在【約書亞書】中被第一次提到，原文如下：
【約書亞】2章1節： 當下，嫩（Nun）的兒子約書亞（Joshua）從什亭暗暗打發兩個人做探子，吩咐說：你們去窺探那地和耶利哥。於是二人去了，來到一個妓女名叫喇合的家裡，在那隱藏了一夜。
Joshua 2:1 Then Joshua son of Nun sent two men secretly from Shittim as spies, saying, "Go, view the land, especially Jericho." So they went and entered the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and spent the night there.
之後，Rahab勇敢地保護了這兩個探子，並接著夜幕將他們安全地送到了城外。Rahab請求這二人許諾在以色列占領耶利哥的時候，保存她和她全家的性命。她的信心感動了上帝，也改變了她的人生。後來，Rahab和撒門（Salman）結了婚，這其實就是大衛王的祖輩。馬太福音中有以下記錄：
【馬太福音】1章5-6節：撒門從喇合生波阿斯；波薩斯從路得氏生俄備得；俄備得生耶西；耶西生大衛王。大衛從烏利亞的妻子生所羅門；
Matthew 1:5-6 Salman the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of King David, David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife.
