writing five

then ten ten

In the first six paragraphs I discovered that the author always put the emphasis on the continuity of the essay. He did well in making use of conjunctions. For instance, "down", "and then there's us" and the like.

The writer described three scenes in the passage. Every time he would refer to the word of "show off" after one scene. So, it made me to think of "pretend". The young woman pretended to show solicitude for the anguish of mankind in order to attract more attention. The gun preferred to use words which people were not familiar with for the sake of pretending to have great learning. People seemed to be busy in daily life in order to have good opinions of them, so as to keep the future life full of hope. Therefore, it could come into a conclusion that one would show off to meet some targets. In my view, anyone who wanted to show off had to make more preparations. That young woman might be concerned about current events in her spare time, while the gun might need to spend time(ON) reading lots of philosophy works to comprehend and memorize the proper noun. As a result, the desire motivated person gain more knowledge.

When I read the first sentence, two words "blazing" and "throbbing" attracted me. I knew "blaze" and "throb" were verbs. Why did the author cover them into adjectives? I consulted some materials. Finally, I found the purpose of using present tense was that the writer would like to make the description more lively and made readers sensed the scene was just taking place before their eye.
