Ruben Zadkovich joined Sydney FC on a short term contract late last season and went on to play an important part in the Grand Final victory and earned himself a New Deal for the 2006/07 season and beyond. Sharp and speedy the attacking midfielder scored in his starting debut for Sydney FC and added spark to the Sydney FC attacking machine. He is one of three new signings for the 2006/07 season, alongside fellow YOUNG GUNS Jeremy Brockie (New Zealand) and Alex Brosque (Queensland Roar). Zadkovich represents the future of Sydney FC and came to the club after turning his back on a blossoming career in England, where he was playing with lower league outfit Notts County.
