性情溫和，屬群居性魚種，一次至少得飼養5隻以上，魚苗在水族箱中常被其他魚種獵捕。
食性
雖然它們會吃薄片飼料，但仍無法因此存活許久。建議餵食孑孓、血蟲及其他的冷凍乾燥食物。
注意事項
膽小魚種，在放入水族箱之前，應有2星期的檢疫期間隔離一下。
