學院概況
蘇州大學計算機科學與技術學院創建於1984年，是江蘇省較早的計算機科學與技術院系專業之一。在二十多年的建設歷程中，學院始終堅持“為地方經濟服務”的指導思想，以學科建設為龍頭，促進學院在師資隊伍建設、科研、教學管理等各方面工作的發展。學院至2012年，已擁有計算機科學與技術博士後科研流動站，計算機科學與技術、軟體工程2個一級學科博士點，計算機科學與技術、軟體工程、管理科學與工程3個一級學科碩士點，計算機技術、軟體工程2個碩士專業學位點。同時學院擁有“計算機套用技術”江蘇省重點學科、“計算機信息處理技術”江蘇省重點實驗室。“計算機信息處理新技術” 為校“211工程”重點建設學科。學院至2012年，已設有計算機科學與技術、信息管理與信息系統、軟體工程、網路工程和軟體工程（嵌入式軟體人才培養方向），物聯網工程六個本科專業（方向），其中計算機科學與技術、軟體工程、網路工程、物聯網工程四個本科專業為江蘇省重點專業，其中軟體工程專業為國家特色專業建設點，同時是教育部卓越工程師教育培養計畫專業，物聯網工程專業為國家首批戰略性新興產業相關專業。學院還設有計算機科學與技術專升本、軟體工程本科特色自考等繼續教育專業。2008年，在校博士生24名，碩士研究生308名，高校教師、工程碩士等在職攻讀碩士學位320名，全日制本科生1114名。
學院師資力量雄厚，結構合理。目前有教職工153人，其中專任教師113名，包括學術性學位博士研究生指導教師12名、學術性學位碩士研究生指導教師37名、碩士專業學位研究生指導教師2名，教授22名，副教授（含高工、副研）41名，專任教師擁有博士、碩士學位的比例達到84.96%；同時學院還聘請了國內外知名學者15人為兼職教授。在專任教師中有1人是國家級有突出貢獻的中青年專家，2人是省級有突出貢獻的中青年專家，有2人是國務院特殊津貼獲得者，有1人為江蘇省高等學校教學名師，有5人是江蘇省“333工程”跨世紀學術帶頭人培養對象，有8人是省“青藍工程”培養對象，1人為“6大人才高峰”，有1人是姑蘇創新創業領軍人才，1人是江蘇省新長征突擊手。專任教師每年發表國內外核心期刊和學術會議論文200餘篇，承擔了包括國家自然科學基金、教育部博士學科點專項基金、江蘇省自然科學基金等科研項目80餘項以及橫向項目70餘項。
學院積極擴大對外交流與合作，除了與周邊地區高校和科研院所建立長期的合作關係外，還與美國、英國、加拿大、紐西蘭、日本、韓國、香港、澳門、台灣等國家和地區的高校建立了友好交流關係。學院已在蘇州工業園區、蘇州新區等多家世界知名IT企業建立了教學實習基地，並在崑山軟體園區中創軟體園內建設了實習基地，另外，學院歷屆畢業生深受用人單位的歡迎，一次性就業率始終保持在98%以上。
學校開設“人工智慧實驗班”，充分利用多學科優勢進行“人工智慧”本科拔尖創新人才培養；與百度公司合作建立了蘇州大學—百度人工智慧協同創新院；以院士領銜的蘇州大學人工智慧研究院，掛靠學院，助你成為新技術革命的弄潮兒；學院開設“卓越工程師班”和“圖靈班”兩類特色創新班，其中“圖靈班”的指導委員會由圖靈獎獲得者、中科院院士、教育部長江特聘教授等著名科學家擔任委員；學院推行“選拔部分優秀學生加入導師制”，讓學生在本科階段就享受到了研究生的培養過程和學術鍛鍊；學院成立了“蘇州大學IT校企合作聯盟”，與包括微軟、西門子、百度等50餘家優質企業聯合培養創新型人才，並與阿里、BAT等公司開展產學研合作。
歷史沿革
1987年 蘇州大學工學院成立，下設計算機科學與工程系和電子工程系
1997年 蘇州絲綢工學院併入蘇州大學，其計算機、自動控制、機電一體化專業併入工學院
1999年 因學科建設需要，成立蘇州大學計算機工程系
2001年 更名為信息技術學院計算機工程系

計算機教學中心
中心主要為學校和學院師生的教學服務，中心下設計算機公共基礎教學實驗室、計算機專業教學實驗室、學生開放實驗室和實訓中心等。
專業教學實驗室
主要為計算機科學與技術學院各專業的教學與科研服務。有計算機硬體基礎實驗室、計算機軟體基礎實驗室、（作業系統分析實驗室、）嵌入式系統基礎實驗室、計算機多媒體基礎實驗室、計算機軟體工程實驗室、計算機軟體測試實驗室、中文信息處理實驗室、計算機組網實驗室、TCP/IP協定分析實驗室、信息安全實驗室、資料庫實驗室、嵌入式系統套用實驗室和信息（系統）管理實驗室等。
計算機公共基礎教學實驗室
主要為全校非計算機專業學生提供計算機基本操作技術實習、基本編程能力實習和基礎套用的軟體與硬體實習環境等，2005年成為江蘇省計算機基礎教學實驗示範中心建設點。
學生開放實驗室
學生開放實驗室主要為計算機科學與技術學院學習成績優異且有較強科研能力的學生服務。該實驗室電腦由學生自備，學院為其提供場地並安排專業指導教師給予指導，學生在規定期限內完成一定的科研項目。
實訓中心
實訓中心根據計算機專業人才培養計畫，參照企業的培養思路、模式和方法，在實訓中心進行企業文化、工作作風、工程實踐等方面的綜合訓練。實訓中心與韓國又松大學組建軟體外包開發中心和與國內澳洋醫藥組建信息技術研究中心，形成了校企合作、項目驅動的實訓教學體系，為科研和人才培養工作的開展構築了堅強的基礎。
實習基地
學院已在蘇州工業園區、蘇州新區、崑山等地區的二十餘家IT企業建立了教學、科研與實習基地。
圖書期刊
學院及學校為計算機科學與技術學院的學科建設提供了充足的圖書資料，現有專業的中文圖書16200餘冊、外文圖書4730餘冊，中文期刊90餘種、外文期刊100餘種。中、外文電子期刊有：（1） 重慶維普全文庫計算機及自動化期刊207種；（2）中國期刊網，計算機科學與技術期刊200種；（3）萬方數位化期刊自動化及計算機技術期刊56種；（4）IEEE的30多種期刊電子全文資料庫；（5）ACM的30多種電子期刊全文資料庫；（6） Elsevier、EBSCO、Spriner、Wiley InterScience等資料庫中計算機科學與技術電子期刊共337種。同時，還訂有計算機技術方面中文電子版學位論文23000餘篇，外文電子版學位論文4500餘篇。

師資概況
學院師資力量雄厚，目前有教職工140人，其中專任教師94名，包括博士研究生指導教師9名，碩士研究生生指導教師38名，教授18名，副教授（含高工、副研）34名，專任教師中有2人是國務院特殊津貼獲得者，有1人為江蘇省高等學校教學名師，有3人是江蘇省“333工程”跨世紀學術帶頭人培養對象，有8人是省“青藍工程”培養對象，有1人是姑蘇創新創業領軍人才。全院72名專業專任教師中，已有博士學位者40人，占54%。
