學名：Eoenantiornis buhleri Hou, Martin et al., 1999

產地：中國遼寧省北票市上園鎮黑蹄子溝
學名來源：種名贈給已故德國著名古鳥類及形態學家Paul Buhler。
保存狀況：完整個體。
基本特徵
中等個體，具牙齒的原始鳥類，吻特別短，頭高；前上頜骨背突構成整個外鼻孔的後緣。頸長具11枚頸椎，叉骨“V”字型，具一長的下突。烏喙骨相對較短，遠端寬。胸骨頂端不強烈向後凹陷，胸骨具有一較短的後側突。指骨爪沒有華夏鳥那么退化。腕掌骨較短，第4掌骨擴展但不與第3掌骨末端癒合。第2指骨細長。尾綜骨長，腹肋存在。

preservation: A complete individual.
diagnosis: Medium sized primitive toothed bird. Rostrum very short. Skull high. Nasal process of premaxialla forms the whole posteior margin of the naris. Neck composed of 11 ervicals. Furcula "V"-shaped with a long hypocledium. Coracoid short and expanded distally. sternum with a short posterior process. Wing claw less reduced than in Catbayornis. Carpals short, fourth metacrpal expanded but unfused with the third metacarpal. Second digit slender. Pygostyle long. Gastralia present.
