早年經歷
安德魯·懷亞特出生於紐約曼哈頓，在曼哈頓佩里街長大。18歲時，他和音樂家GregKurstin組建了短暫的實驗流行樂隊Funkraphiliacs，隨後他作為獨唱藝術家簽約了Capitol唱片公司，曾短暫地去過科羅拉多大學。
演藝經歷
在古典音樂學院短暫學習之後，他回到了紐約市，不久之後，他與MichaelTighe和ParkerKindred成立了AM團隊。後擔任瑞典樂隊MiikeSnow的主唱和合作詞曲作者。
2011年，與布魯諾·馬斯共同創作了“Grenade”，這首歌獲得了葛萊美獎年度最佳歌曲的提名。
2012年，與MarkRonson和WayneMcGregor共同創作單人芭蕾舞劇“CarbonLife”的音樂。
2013年4月16日，發行了他的首張個人專輯《Descender》。
2014年末，與希臘歌手Monika合作演唱《ShakeYourHands》。
2015年5月，他與Flume合作製作歌曲《SomeMinds》。
2018年10月5日，擔任原創音樂人的電影《一個明星的誕生》在美國上映。
2019年2月25日，憑藉《一個明星的誕生》的插曲《Shallow》獲得第91屆奧斯卡金像獎最佳原創歌曲獎。
