創作背景
這首歌最初本是P!nk為自己的專輯《Funhouse》而寫的，本計畫收錄在專輯裡面，但因種種原因最終未被收錄。 歌曲於2009年的9月至10月在美國紐約、洛杉磯和瑞典斯德哥爾摩三個城市完成錄製。 2009年11月18日，亞當通過官方網站宣布他專輯的第二首歌名為《Whataya Want From Me》。 之後，《Whataya Want From Me》替代《For Your Entertainment》成為首支單曲。
