這首What If選自瑞典歌手Darin Zanyar2008年的第四張專輯《Flashback》。有時一個人的成長速度用驚人來形容一點都不為過。Darin Zanyar出道時就以青春無敵的形象來示人，MV中也總是一個青澀的大男孩形象，帶著牙套，像是一個長不大的孩子。然而在08年底推出的這張專輯中則風格大變，歌曲的風格少了一些青春活潑的元素，多了一些沉穩和感傷。 在MV中更是以全新的成熟形象來定位自身。退去了年少時的皮包骨頭身板，Darin此時也逐漸有了肌肉。在近期的一些現場視頻中，有些歌迷甚至感慨，那小子年輕時候多帥呀！我個人也覺得意外，畢竟Darin目前才20齣頭的年紀，似乎沒有必要這么著急就轉型。
不論如何，專輯《Flashback》很耐聽，這首what if的內容是反對暴力反對傷害，不知道我理解的有沒有錯誤。總之表達的是一種很痛心的感情，讓人聽了後也不由得心頭一緊。
