It has been for a long time a complex topic these years which has intrigued the interest of the public is that the problem of cheating. Majority of students would cheat in the exams. Maybe someone cheated when they were younger, but no, they would(will) not dram of cheating now. Talk to the students, you can not get the truth. They always tell lies to you. But talk to the teachers, a very different picture appears.
Here “picture” is not the drawing on the paper. It means mental image or scenes. For example, I still have a vivid picture of the first time I saw Beijing. In this paragraph, there are four “of” and several “pictures”. The teachers show us a different answer that how serious the cheating in the school is. The author has expressed the serious situation strongly which should be paid more attention through using four “of”. And we also feel distressed, frustrating(frustrated) and worried about children.
Experts say that home is a place where children get training of the mind and character to produce self-esteem and self-control. In my opinion, so is the school. Sometimes they should encourage students who make occasional failure. Blaming only brings bad influence to children and they may cheat in order to get high scores. So parents and teachers play an important role in educationof children
In the fifth paragraph, there is a word which I Do not know in the first sentence. It is “abdicate”. I used the dictionary to look it up. That means “give up”. I remembered a word “abandons” and the meaning of it is similar with “abdicate”. Yes, parents often do not attach importance to children’s moral development. What’s more, when they heard other children get high scores because of cheating; they encouraged children to cheat instead of told them that were wrong. Their behavior(behaviors) boost student’ cheating.
Let’s look at the following three paragraphs, in the first sentence, here “foundation” refers to “an institution that is founded and supported by an endowment”. Besides, I do not know the meaning of “crib sheet”, the book told me that means “a piece of paper on which a list of answers or information used dishonestly by a student during an examination”.
I have learned many new words, sentence(sentances) and usage of expression by reading these eight paragraphs. How important the honest is to our society! As a student, we should not abandon this moral which produce more impact to our future lives.
