Linhai is listed as a famous city with a long glorious history and rich culture by the State Council. It has won the titles of “National Sanitation City” and “National Tourism City”. It covers the area of 2200 square kilometers and has a population of 1.1 million. Kuocang Mountain is the highest peak in Southeast Zhejiang. The elevation of the mountain peak is 1382.6 meters. Kuocang is just the place where the First True Dawn of the 21st century rose in China. Kuocang Wind Power is also one of the national four major wind farms.
Linhai is a scenic place hidden among mountains like a glittering pearl hidden in the sand. It is a good place where there has always been a galaxy of talent, prosperity of culture and an abundance of relics. Linhai has the ancient city wall-the Great Wall South of the Yangtze River. The ancient wall used to be a stronghold against outside invasion and to protect the city from big floods. Linhai boasts an unusual landscape, surrounded by green hills and fresh waters. There are many places worth seeing. For example, the East Lake, which enjoys the reputation of the small West Lake. Besides, there are many other scenic spots worth seeing. Only when you come here to see with your own eyes, can you feel and enjoy it perfectly. The fruit specialties include the Yongquan Sweet Orange and the Donghuai Waxberry. The above all combine to make the historical city a unique place. Inside the city wall you may find yourselves in good environments, scenic spots and many places of historical interest.
