This time I read through the two paragraphs, many words and phrase [phrases]in it are worthy of my analysis.
First of all, I was confused by the phrase “fit into” in the sentence “…how it fits into the corporate strategy”, because I could not just comprehend [it]in its literal meaning, hence I asked the Cambridge dictionary for help then I knew the phrase had the meaning of to be part of a situation, a system, or plan. Then I saw a word “value” in the last sentence of paragraph four, it is apparent that it is not a noun here, but a verb means respect, it was a new acquisition.
In paragraph five, I had seen [saw]a phrase turnover rate, [;]it has special meaning [which]means the rate that [刪除]at which workers are replaced, especially in a given period. Following is the word “result” in the sentence “to achieve big results quickly”, it [which]means achievement or performance here. The last word [that]puzzled me was push which appeared in the sentence “in many companies an atmosphere of constant push would inspire people to seek employment with less pressure somewhere else, here “push” means the pressure of circumstances, activities, etc.
The two paragraphs told me today’[today's] workers want to be a valued part of the whole, then gave a example of Compaq Computers to reveal how the company’ culture to effect employees’ performance, and workers’ quality and efforts [,which]has great affection to the profitability [profitable]ability of a company.
