樂隊簡介
UB40樂隊用Alicampbell在一場酒吧爭鬥後取得的賠償金買了第一件樂器，卻幾乎無人能知道怎么擺弄它。但是到了年底，樂隊被Pretenders邀請參加他們的巡迴演出。樂隊的單曲《FoodForThought》在1980年達到U.K.流行排行榜的前十位，並逗留了相當長的時間，《SingsingOff》、《Present》都有很大的銷售量。在他們的音樂中，有關於政治話題的《OneinTen》是一首批評國家失業率的歌曲，也上榜排在了前十位。
UB40UB40樂隊取得的又一大成績是闖進了Top30的《IGotYouBaby》，這首歌曲還成為Pretender的ChrissieHynde的插曲，為樂隊成為世界一流的樂隊奠定了雄厚的基礎。
1998年，樂隊在NelsonMandela的音樂會上演出了《RedRedWine》引起轟動，隨著Phoenix電台的循環播放，這首歌曲榮登冠軍榜首，並且震撼了美國市場。
不久，專輯《LabourofLoveII》出版，《TheWayYouDoTheThingsYouDo》、《HereIAm》進入了單曲排行榜前十名，而《Can’tHelpFallingInLove》在美國更是引起巨大的轟動，不僅成為電影《SharonStone》的插曲，而且還在排行榜首停留了7周之久。
直到今天，UB40樂隊仍然活躍在世界樂壇中，並且屢有新作。去年，他們又推出了《LabourofLoveIII》，風采依然不減當年。
