Danny的父親也在63歲時因為胃部的動脈瘤去世，去世的那天正好是情人節，Danny在自己的左臂上紋了一個巨大的玫瑰刺青，來紀念這一天。Danny說：“他去世的那天早上還在我和說話聊天，而晚上他就這么走了。你連說一句‘這真TM糟糕’的時間都沒有。我以前沒有意識到和父親在一起的時間的寶貴。要知道，我離開了他有十年，我很清楚他愛我，可我卻不知道他喜不喜歡我。”Danny在2012年9月發行的專輯《#3》中發行了歌曲“If You Could See Me Now”寫給自己的父親，向自己父親訴說自己的思念。
