個人簡介

David Kaplan,1953年3月生,理學博士,教授,博士生導師。本科1975年畢業於美國Albany大學,1979畢業於美國Syracuse大學,現任美國Tufts 大學Stern Family Endowed 終身榮譽教授, 生物醫學系系主任兼化學工程系教授,美國國立衛生研究院(NIH)組織工程研究中心主任,在生物材料、組織工程研究領域,尤其是絲蛋白生物材料的研究領域有很深的造詣和極高的學術地位,承擔多項美國國立衛生研究院、美國自然科學基金委的多項重大科研課題。在Nature雜誌發表論文4篇,在Biomaterials、Biomicromolecular、Advanced Materials、Soft Materials、Tissue Engineering等高水平學術期刊發表論文400多篇,並同時擔任Biomicromolecular副主編,Advanced Materials,Biomaterials,Tissue Engineering,Soft Materials等10多種高水平學術期刊編輯。已獲得美國及世界專利20餘項,並創辦了三家以上高科技企業。David Kaplan教授積極與中國的科研人員展開合作,已於2011年受聘蘇州大學現代絲綢國家工程實驗室擔任講座教授,聯合建立實驗室,定期回國講學並指導科研工作。
