In paragraph 24 there are two juxtaposition subordinate clause lead by though, the subject is showoffs run the risk and there are three sometimes in the second subordinate clause, in addition, I know the new phrase run the risk of, it means to do something knowing that a particular unpleasant thing might happen, the points I cannot understand but it is important to comprehend this sentence, to my mind, I would like to solve the issue in my English book, it means the purpose or the main idea.
As to another phrase:” view as …..Well…..”Arouses my interest, first of all, there are two ellipsis in here, I don’t know the important reason of why the author uses it and secondly, it means to consider something in a particular way by dictionary. In the second sentence, the author quotes the sentence form lord chesterfield, I know he is a English statesman, he famous for his letters which given his son, I think it is useful to help author convinces readers.
The last paragraph, the author uses three sentences, they are very short, and I can read them easy. For example, the first sentence is composing four short sentences. They are stand side by side, it indicated a kind of emphasize. Moreover I learn a new word from the second sentence that is lapse, it express a mistake we often make. We always have a lapse.
