聯邦勳章、星章及獎章
類別
馬來西亞的聯邦勳章、星章及獎章共分9個類別，每級又分為若干等次，部分等次較高級的勳章擁有固定人數的限制。9個類別按順序分別包括：
聯邦皇家冊封及王族勳章（馬來語：Anugerah Kebesaran Persekutuan Diraja Dan Darjah Kerabat；英語：Royal and Family Order）；
護國有功勳章（馬來語：Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara；英語：Most Esteemed Order of the Defender of the Realm）；
馬來西亞王冠效忠勳章（馬來語：Darjah Yang Mulia Setia Mahkota Malaysia；英語：Most Esteemed Order of The Crown of Malaysia）；

其中第1類別是授予王族階級；第2~5類別是授予權貴階級；第6類別是授予有高度成就者的功績勳章；第7~9類別是授予平民階級。根據馬來西亞的禮儀，只有國家級及州級的高級榮譽嘉獎能夠被稱為勳章（英語：Order；馬來語：Darjah kebesaran）。

聯邦勳章9個類別，合共有28個項目，其中6個項目勳章獲得者可被冊封馬來西亞封銜，一些項目受勛人數具有限制規定，但該人數並不包含授於外籍人士的名譽勳章的名額。按照項目等級高低順序排列如下所示：

州勳章、星章及獎章
馬來西亞共有十三個州屬，及三個聯邦直轄區。它們都擁有各自特色的州勳章制度，各州勳章是由州統治者在其誕辰時頒授，而聯邦直轄區的則於馬來西亞聯邦直轄區日頒授。
州統治者在不同州屬稱呼不同：在森美蘭州稱為最高統治者；在雪蘭莪州、登嘉樓州、吉打州、吉蘭丹州、彭亨州、柔佛州及霹靂州稱為蘇丹；在玻璃市州稱為拉惹；在沙巴、砂拉越、檳城、馬六甲稱為州元首。
具體的頒授典禮進行地點如下：
