Ralph在The Zest of the West的表演麥克泰爾最著名的曲目是倫敦街角( Streets of London ) ，全球有超過二百名歌手翻唱，影響力可想而知。踏入八十年代，他為2個電視兒童節目創作及演奏兒歌。有字母動物園( Alphabet Zoo ) ，有尼雷斯．曉瑟斯作主持。主題曲為Tickle On The Tum ( 在肚上嘀嘀嗒嗒) ，伴唱的還有扎基．雷丁( Jaqui Reddin ) 。大碟在二個 系列都有播放。 他亦有為動畫公司科斯格羅夫堂( Cosgrove Hall ) 的柳林風聲( Wind in the Willows )創作及錄製主題曲，同唱的還有基斯．霍普伍德( Keith Hopwood ) ，在獨立電視播放前就在1984年製成了唱片。

個人履歷
經典民歌“Streets of London”是英國歌手Ralph McTell 1969年的作品。McTell從雷德貝利（Leadbelly）、伍迪葛士瑞（Woody Guthrie）、勞勃強森（Robert Johnson）等民歌與藍調先驅人物的作品中得到啟發。在英國與歐洲流浪了幾年之後，他返回倫敦，在蘇活區的一些民歌俱樂部賣唱 。
1969年，他在第二張個人專輯《Spiral Staircase》裡面發表了自己譜寫的“Streets of London”，不過當時並未受到重視，後來，他在1974年底重新錄製這首歌，結果奪下英國排行亞軍，就此成名。
在德國，這首歌創下同時有四個版本在排行榜上的情形（他自己的版本就占了三個）。受到極高的評價，幾乎相當於“英國的鮑布狄倫（Bob Dylan）”，成為英國、歐洲、甚至美國許多民歌手學習的榜樣，
“Streets of London”更是他畢生最具有代表性的經典，翻唱的人至少超過兩百位，比如資深英國老牌歌手羅傑惠特克（Roger Whittaker），布魯斯史賓斯汀（Bruce Springs）與艾瑞莎富蘭克琳（Aretha Franklin）等等。
譜寫這首歌的時候才二十四歲的麥可泰爾，是根據自己流浪多年的經歷，以及在倫敦賣唱民歌的感受，而激發靈感的。這正是他想對一些自怨自艾、認為自己孤獨寂寞的人說的話。
