吳福元[中科院地質與地球物理研究所所長]

吳福元,男,1962年8月生於安徽廬江縣,中國科學院地質與地球物理研究所研究員,博士生導師。中國科學院院士。現任中科院地質與地球物理研究所所長。

吳福元吳福元
1980年入長春地質學院地質系學習,1987年7月和1990年12月在該校分別獲岩石學碩士和博士學位。1992年11月被聘為長春地質學院(後改名為長春科技大學、吉林大學地球科學學院)教授,1995年10月至1996年11月在法國雷恩第一大學進修。2003年3月調至中國科學院地質與地球物理研究所工作,任研究員。並任國內多家學術刊物編委。

2015年12月7日,當選中國科學院地學部院士。
2017年04月,中國科學院經研究,決定:吳福元任地質與地球物理研究所所長。

學術研究

主要從事火成岩岩石學研究,其研究方向是利用岩石學和地球化學方法研究岩石形成的地質過程和受控制的地球動力學背景。在前人研究基礎上,通過大量的同位素年代學測試,指出東北地區20餘萬平方公里的花崗岩主體形成於中生代,而不是以前認為的古生代;以前認為的佳木斯地塊中的太古宙和新元古宙花崗岩分別形成於古生代早期和晚古生代。指出東北地區花崗岩的成因類型主要為I分異型和A型,不存在典型的S型花崗岩;指出這些花崗岩具有低的初始鍶和高初始釹及年輕釹模式年齡的特點,認為其形成與地幔或年輕地殼關係密切。確認地質歷史上的顯生宙也是地殼生長的重要時期,而先前認為地殼基本形成於早前寒武紀的觀點需要重新加以認識和修正。確認松遼盆地的基底應為與周圍張廣才嶺、大興安嶺相同的顯生宙造山帶,不存在大規模的前寒武紀結晶基底;提出造山後是銅-鎳硫化物礦床形成的一個重要構造背景;確認晚中生代是我國東部岩石圈減薄發生的時間,並提出中國東部現今岩石圈地幔是新生的,中生代時曾發生過軟流圈與地殼直接接觸的地球動力學現象等。在國內外主要刊物上發表學術論文100餘篇,其中80餘篇被SCI收錄,SCI引用1000餘次。主持過多項國家自然科學基金、中國科學院和國土資源部等項目的研究。2003年獲國家傑出青年科學基金。現任中國科學院地質與地球物理研究所副所長。分管研究所科研、科技支撐系統和教育工作。
