劇情梗概
好幻想的科學家Janos Rukh說服另一群科學家和贊助者去非洲進行探險，目的是尋找和研究一顆遠古的隕石，該隕石具有非同尋常的價值。Janos暴露在隕石的有毒輻射中，幸得醫生Benet發明的解毒劑把救回來，但是他與其他人的接觸可令到他們馬上死亡。回到倫敦後，醫生Be net利用隕石的可控制射線，來恢復盲人的視力。解毒劑的毒性激起了Janos Rukh教授的偏執式暴怒，他對探險隊的成員進行報復，並指責他們，為個人榮譽而偷走了他的發現
