This time I read the 12th to 16th paragraph. In this section, the author introduced another kind of showing off which is called Insecure showoffs.
I think this kind of showing off depend [depends] on the personality of special kind of person. These people do not really want to be the center of attention. They just want to be noticed by others. And the author wanted to tell us that there are lots of people in the conditon. The sentence which was said by his close friend does not [only] mean [means]the facial thing but also means that insecure showoffs is [are] very common. We can find lots of person [people] act like that.
This kind of showoffs is much more different with other kinds that we have talked about before. I want [to] give another name to this kind of showoffs. I think we can call it [them] passive showoffs. I think the person in the condition do not want to show off. But they think they have to show off, otherwise they will lose the attention from others. And their action make others fell [feel] that they are showing off.
So I think they are passive.
