個人簡介

化名Musiq(一度名叫Soulchild)的Talib Johnson1977年出生於費城，是家中年齡最大的孩子。從小，他就受到了James Brown,patti labelle等一大批黑人音樂的先驅的影響。中學沒畢業就投身到了音樂事業上，並不斷的在一些地方進行表演，也逐漸引起了Def Jam唱片的關注，並把他簽下。

個人履歷

首張專輯Aijuswanaseing(I just want to sing)於2000年發行，受到了評論界和樂迷的高度評價，Musiq包辦了整張專輯的創作部分，而大部分歌曲則交給了A Touch of Jazz進行了後期製作。專輯中的Just Friends(Sunny)、Love以及Girl Next Door在MTV2和BET上大受歡迎，一些urban電台也對他的歌曲青睞有加。
2002年他發行了第二張專輯Juslisen(Just Listen)，憑藉專輯中的單曲halfcrazy和dontchange，專輯持續了首張專輯的成功。
halfcrazy成為了MTV 2台2002年夏季播放率最高的音樂錄音帶。同年他作為嘉賓參加了Alicia Keys的演唱會，他還參與了繞舌組合The Roots的專輯phrenology的首支單曲Break You Off的演唱。
