創作背景
荷電天王tiesto力捧猛將！black hole鎮廠大將！身為solarstone、tiesto、armin van buuren等天王dj指定混音好手，crossroads radioshow主持人，歐陸trance指標大廠black hole頂尖悍將，1981年出生的荷蘭小將sander van dien，絕對堪稱當代最炙手可熱的新生代trance巨星！在父親的啟蒙下開始創作的sander van dien，曾經接受正式的吉他和鍵盤演奏訓練，2003年結識了甫嶄露頭角的ralphie b（ralph barendse），並受邀為其化名midway發表的熱門單曲〈amazon〉打理混音，正式展開於電子國度的職業生涯。2005年，兩人合體化名first state帶來同名單曲，隨即獲black hole副廠in trance we trust網羅，緊接著推出的首張專輯《time frame》以及〈evergreen〉、〈off the radar〉等大熱單曲，加上馬不停蹄的全球巡迴，讓first state聲勢水漲船高，儼然成為black hole鎮廠之寶！2009年6月，ralph b為全心投入個人事業，毅然離開first state，讓first state成為sander van dien獨挑大樑的個人project。正當樂迷憂心2缺1的first state是否會因此失去光彩之際，回歸單曲〈brave〉踩著與飄渺的trance輕煙與迷離的electro電氣從容而至，甫以曾為lange〈out of the sky〉和john o'callaghan〈find yourself〉獻聲而於全球舞池聲名大噪的英倫民謠女伶sarah howells知性嗓音詮釋，讓所有疑慮頓時煙消雲散！延續著〈brave〉這般層次豐富的電舞質感，《changing lanes》開場搶先帶來雄踞beatport排行top 10長達4周並獲得tiesto青睞選為《in search of sunrise 8: south africa》開場曲的〈my sanctuary〉，以鋼琴鋪陳起浪漫柔美至極的progressive曲式，與尾隨登場的〈exeo〉，構築出一幅令人屏息的舞曲風景；爾後，優雅的uplifeating trance底韻下，techno和electro勁拍來襲，漸強的曲式中，〈surrounds me〉媲美jónsi（sigur ros）脫俗男聲elliot johns與深邃重拍交織的反差媚惑，〈cape point〉瀰漫太空氣息的和諧感，〈primate〉滲透著一絲minimal techno的懸疑緊迫，到稱霸audiojelly下載排行top 10四周的〈as you were〉那股夾帶實驗性格的tech-trance生猛節拍，12首剛柔並濟的迷幻詩篇，打造一段蘊含深層情感和人文氣息的曲折電舞旅程！
