《學術前沿研究:薇拉·凱瑟的生態視野》由譚晶華著，論文共有五章構成。第一章引言先簡要介紹薇拉·凱瑟及評論界對她的研究現狀，繼而介紹生態批評的起源和奧爾多·利奧波特的“大地倫理”、弗·卡普拉和阿恩·奈斯的深層生態學思想以及作為生態批評另一分支的生態女性主義的基本觀點和其倡導的相互依存和關愛倫理。第二章探討凱瑟的早期代表作《啊！拓荒者！》《我的安東尼亞》中的生態意識。第三章探討凱瑟的中期代表作《迷途的女人》和《教授的住房》，凱瑟在這兩部作品中對現代工業社會盛行的對自然的征服與控制、掠奪與摧殘的批判等。第四章論述凱瑟對如何在現代工業文明和物質主義文明社會中實現“詩意的棲居”進行了合理的構想和嘗試。著重探討了凱瑟對男權中心論的解構及其對人類與自然之間和兩性之間平等互補的相互性的認識。最後是結論部分。
