本研究院的成員由北京大學各院系、所（中心）的從事與亞太研究有關的人文
主要任務
本研究院的任務：組織、規劃與資助有關亞太地區的重大課題研究、精品成果出版、高層次學術會議等學術活動 ；協調和支持全校各院系、所，特別是有關研究中心的亞太研究 ；舉辦報告會、講座、學術討論會等學術活動；編輯、出版《北大亞太研究叢書》；組織和推進同校外、國外亞太研究機構的學術交流與合作。
Founded on 8 March 2002, the Asia-Pacific Research Institute of Peking University is an inter-school and multi-disciplinary comprehensive research institute .
The goal of this institute is to promote and strengthen the Asian-Pacific Studies at Peking University; to push forward the development of the Asian-Pacific Studies at China and the exchanges of scholars and related research institutions home and abroad , and to promote the prosperity and progress of the human society.
Faculty and researchers engaged in the field of Asian-Pacific Studies at Peking University constitute the members of this institute. They are from various schools and research centers.
The Asia-Pacific Research Institute has the following missions:
*Organize, mastermind and support important research projects related to the Asian Pacific Studies.
*Publish works of high academic value
*Host high-level academic conferences
*Coordinate and support the Asian-Pacific studies in different schools and research centers at Peking University.
*Hold lectures, symposia ,speeches and other academic activities related to Asian-Pacific Studies.
*Compile and publish Beida Asian-Pacific Studies Series
*Organize and promote academic exchanges and cooperation with other Asian Pacific Studies institutions home and abroad.
The institute has been strongly supported by the Korea foundation for advanced studies. In order to advance the academic research and exchanges in this institute, we sincerely appreciate help and support from domestic and foreign enterprises, foundations, research institution and individuals.
