近年來圍繞氣候變化對旅遊業的影響、旅遊業能源消費與碳排放，旅遊規劃等進行研究。主持國家自然基金、國家科技支撐項目專題等研究項目多項。近期以第一作者或通訊作者在SCI或SSCI刊物發表論文6篇。主要參與國家旅遊局“秦嶺山區旅遊發展規劃綱要”；“南海（三沙市）旅遊規劃”；“環微山湖經濟發展規劃”等旅遊及區域發展規劃項目30餘項。
擔任國家自然科學基金通訊評審專家，以及國際著名旅遊研究期刊Tourism Management，國際SCI刊物Abstract and Applied Analysis，以及旅遊學刊、資源科學等國核心心期刊審稿人。
