凱文·史密斯星座： 獅子座
簡介
1970年，凱文·史密斯出生於新澤西，凱文一向以新澤西為榮，在他的電影中觀眾不難發現。23歲時，正當年少氣盛的凱文湊齊了25000美元，拉著幾個便利店的同事開始拍片。由於凱文的劇本都是根據自己在店裡的日常生活編寫，所以每個角色都有凱文同事們的影子，因此這幫從沒演過戲的傢伙演起來也特別傳神。這部戲幾乎沒有外景，全都在便利店完成，為此，凱文他們還特地拜託老闆借出場地，老闆同意他們在不影響工作的情況下，晚上下班關門後來拍。於是凱文和他的夥伴們每天下班就從家裡把器材抬到店裡拍戲，因為人手和資金不足，影片的場景只能限定在店內，全片唯一算得上外景的場面就是幾個人來到附近的教堂前，嬉鬧般的對著教堂門口拍了一兩個鏡頭就又回到店裡。
凱文·史密斯凱文之後又拍攝了《怒犯天條》、《白爛賤客》、《澤西女孩》和《瘋狂店員2》等影片，同時他還在編劇、製作以及表演領域闖出自己的一片天地。他還開有一家漫畫書店、一個製片公司，平時還為雜誌撰稿和拍攝短片。
