生平簡介
亞利克·基尼斯有“影壇千面人”之稱，身世也十分奇特。他的出世紙上“父親姓名”一欄是空白的，他的母親生他時還沒結婚，直到他五歲，母親才結婚，三年後就離開了。這個私生子長大後查到自己的身世，原來自己是一戶世襲貴族的後人。儘管如此，他以優秀的演技進入戲劇圈，1933年獲獎學金入費康普頓戲劇學校就讀，同年又開始在影片中當臨時演員。經十多年奮鬥後成為英、美兩地的劇場名角，於1946年正式演出《孤兒奇緣》而進入影壇。1957年以大衛連導演的《桂河大橋》震撼整個影壇，獲奧斯卡最佳男主角獎。1959年，英國皇家鑒於他對藝術的貢獻，頒給他“爵士”的封號。他的演員生涯延續至90年代中期，晚年以《星球大戰》系列的演出廣受歡迎。於2000年8月5日病逝，享年86歲。
