《北極特快車》

聖誕老人真的存在嗎？離午夜只有5分鐘了，小男孩屏住呼吸，一動不動地躺在床上，窗外只有雪片落地的聲音，為什麼還聽不到馴鹿的鈴聲？一聲汽笛由遠及近，地板開始顫動起來，桌上的器皿在桌球作響，隨著最後一聲長鳴的汽笛，一束強烈的燈光從窗子照了進來。
抹去窗子上的薄霜，小男孩看到了最不可思議的場景：一輛巨大的黑色的蒸汽機車停在了房子的前面，它發動機里噝咻地噴射出強勁的水蒸汽，衝破了寂靜的夜空和輕柔的雪花。穿著睡衣和拖鞋的小男孩興奮地跑了出去，車廂里燈火通明，坐著和他一樣堅信聖誕”極地特快號”，它將帶著小男孩前往北極，參加在那裡舉行的聖誕慶典。
在車廂里他認識了更多的小夥伴，大家在歡樂中開始了這場難忘的旅程，在奔向北極的遙遠旅程中，他們遭遇到各種各樣的危險，也體驗了前所未有的歡樂。孩子們在旅行中不斷成長，認識自己，明白對於那些堅持信仰的人來說，生命的驚奇永遠都不會消失。
在遙遠的路途之後，“極地特快號”終於到達它的終點——北極。孩子們歡快地跳下火車，和所有的聖誕老人一起，在北極城裡慶祝聖誕的來臨。聖誕老人滿足了小男孩的願望，送給他一隻馴鹿身上的小鈴鐺。
當小男孩第二天醒來後將“極地特快號”的??個美夢，但只有小男孩知道這絕對不是一個夢，因為他的聖誕禮物，那是聖誕馴鹿的小鈴鐺正完好無損地出現在聖誕樹下，雖然別人聽不到它的鈴聲，但小男孩可以……

《北極特快車》

本片導演是湯姆·漢克斯的老搭檔羅伯特·澤米基斯，他堪稱是設計真人與電腦動畫互動的專家，除了在《阿甘正傳》中讓阿甘與歷代風雲人物會面之外，他還導演過那部真人動畫結合的電影《誰陷害了兔子羅傑》，該片被譽為世界電影技術發展史上的一個里程碑。作為他第一部純動畫電影，本片頗為令人期待。

完美複製湯姆·漢克斯

《北極特快車》最大的噱頭是讓動畫角色做出近似真人的逼真表情。Ｉｍａｇｅｗｏｒｋｓ開發出一套將動作捕捉系統提高到新高度的新技術，然後在湯姆·漢克斯面部接上許多“動作捕捉器”，就以前所未有的精確將他的表演“移植”到了動畫人物臉上。
