教學成果
1982年本科畢業留校任教，堅持在教學第一線，主要承擔《分子生物學》、《生物農藥》、《生化與分子生物學專題》、《微生物農藥》、《生命科學研究進展》等本科、碩博士研究生的教學任務。引進國外原版教材進行雙語教學，不斷跟蹤國內外發展動態，注重學科發展前沿和交叉，先後8次赴美國、俄羅斯、日本、澳大利亞、歐洲、南非、東南亞以及台灣、香港地區進行學術交流和參加國際會議，結合科研工作培養學生學習興趣，激發學生的創新能力。主講的《分子生物學》、《生物農藥》為福建省精品課程；2001年獲得“福建省優秀教師”光榮稱號，2006年被授予“福建省高等學校教學名師”稱號；獨立指導的本科生2001、2003、2005年連續三屆獲全國大學生“挑戰杯”競賽1個特等獎、2個二等獎、2個三等獎；指導的本科生和研究生有11位赴美國Florida大學、California大學、Kansas州立大學、Illinois大學、英國Newcastle大學、加拿大UBC等合作研究和深造，6位考取上海生命科學中心陳賽娟院士和陳竺部長、上海交通大學鄧子新院士、浙江大學周雪平教授和馮明光教授（均為長江學者）以及中國科學院微生物所、中國農業科學院和中國農業大學的博士和碩士研究生。科研成果
從事生物農藥研究，主持國家863、科技部攻關、國家發改委、國家自然科學基金、教育部等22項課題，有14篇論文被SCI收錄，有49篇論文在國家一級學報發表，獨立撰寫的專著《蘇雲金芽孢桿菌8010的研究》由科學出版社出版。獲授權國家發明專利5項，正在申報和公開的5項。研究成果分獲2001、2005年福建省科技進步二等獎；獲2006年國家科技進步二等獎（第5完成人）。先後8次赴美國、俄羅斯、日本、澳大利亞、歐洲、南非、東南亞以及台灣、香港地區進行學術交流和參加國際會議。主持課題
