公司介紹：
新線是1967年就成立的一家獨立製片發行公司，以面對美國高校發行歐洲及本土低成本恐怖片為主，1979年進入製片業，投資拍攝低成本恐怖片。 1990年通過向FOX購買其不敢發行的香港嘉禾電影《忍者神龜》並大獲成功後，成為有廣泛影響的獨立電影發行公司。1993年新線被電視巨頭特納收購，因特納控股時代華納，因此新線隨即被併入時代華納集團，但新線的原總裁謝伊當年在被特納收購時仍持有新線主要股權，並且享有公司的自主經營權，所以新線目前雖然同屬時代華納集團，但其電影經營與集團內部的其他電影公司並無相關。
該公司著名代表作品是《指環王》系列《尖峰時刻》系列電影。
