GRE辭彙的三大過程
第一重境界是單詞的初記。也就是“獨上高樓，望盡天涯路”。這“高樓”在GRE里可指兩樣東西。一是紅寶書，二是紅寶書的增補“巔峰辭彙”。
第二重境界“衣帶漸寬終不悔，為伊消得人憔悴”形容背單詞的第二個階段再恰當不過。這個階段GRE考試報名的考生有三個任務，(一)通過做題了解GRE類反這種題型的特點，對單詞的考法;(二)對辭彙的含義精細理解、記憶。這點極其重要，因為GRE考試 考察的是單詞的精細含義，有些詞光認識是不夠的，這時要多查看《韋氏字典》。(三)不斷與遺忘做鬥爭。遺忘是最讓人痛苦的了，“為伊消得人憔悴”真是一點不假。
第三重境界“眾里尋他千百度，驀然回首，那人卻在燈火闌珊處”，這句話主要說的是頓悟。背單詞也要有個頓悟的過程，也就是熟能生巧。其實GRE的各個學習項目，填空，閱讀，作文等等其提高關鍵就是熟練到能夠生巧的地步，類反也一樣，如果你對類反這種題型的特點瞭然於胸，有時候在考場上即使不認識某個單詞也能把正確答案“分析”出來。
