冰島國旗

冰島國旗（英語：The flag of Iceland，冰島語：íslenskifáninn）於1944年6月17日冰島成為共和國時正式採用，設計為藍色底色配以白色及紅色的十字。冰島的第一面國旗最早出現於1897年的一次遊行中，是一面深藍色底繪有白色十字的旗幟。現在使用的國旗出現於1915年，一個紅色的十字被添加到最初的國旗中，這個十字象徵著基督教的信仰。藍、白兩色為冰島的國色，體現冰島的自然環境特點，即在藍色的天空和海洋中，浮出“ 凍的陸地”——冰島。

冰島國旗，長方形，長寬之比為25：18。藍色旗面上繪有一個偏向左側的紅白十字。藍色代表大海，白色代表白雪。

象徵意義

藍、白兩色為冰島的國色，體現冰島的自然環境特點，即在藍色的天空和海洋中，浮出“ 凍的陸地”——冰島。

冰島自1262年起為挪威屬地，14世紀同受丹麥統治，所以國旗上的紅十字圖案源自丹麥，挪威國旗圖案，表示出冰島歷史上與挪威、丹麥的關係。

ThecivilnationalflagofIcelandersisblueastheskywithasnow-whitecross,andafiery-redcrossinsidethewhitecross.Thearmsofthecrossextendtotheedgeoftheflag,andtheircombinedwidthis2/9,buttheredcross1/9ofthecombinedwidthoftheflag.Theblueareasarerightangledrectangles,therectilinearsurfacesareparallelandtheouterrectilinearsurfacesaswideasthem,buttwicethelength.Thedimensionsbetweenthewidthandlengthare18:25。
