歌曲賞析
在X&Y裡面，我最喜歡的，就是這首Swallowed in The Sea（當然Fix you也很不錯，這裡就不過多介紹了）。第一次聽這首歌覺得一般，可聽完後的幾天裡還都會不時地想起這歌的旋律，於是便又多聽了幾遍，覺得越聽越好聽，是一首很有韻味的歌曲。
關於這首歌的含義，網上說法很多。有人認為和Fix you一樣是格溫妮絲帕特洛的媽媽去世之後，克里斯馬汀寫來安慰他妻子的，也有人說是一個人很愛他的戀人，這個人曾經帶給他了很多，但是現離開了，不過他相信這個人有一天會回來，還有一次我在一個英文網站上看到一個外國人再講這歌是在說三個人之間的關係 ，分析得頭是道。不過欣賞酷玩的歌不需要分析好多細節推理出其含義或情感，其實用自己的內心去品味就行了，享受其韻味。而且也有可能本身就沒什麼過多的意思，就是他們一瞬間的靈感，就像42或者Yellow一樣。

《X&Y》在2006年6月7日發行專輯的封套的設計與1990年的一款電腦遊戲Teris很相像，這背後究竟蘊藏了什麼特殊含義不得而知。而這張費時一年半籌劃而成的全新專輯《X&Y》，發行首周，以73萬7千張的驚人銷量橫掃美國唱片市場勇奪冠軍，成為2005年迄今首周銷量最高的搖滾樂專輯，在英國本土的專輯榜上更是以首周46萬4千多張的銷量創下了英國排行榜有史以來的首周銷量的第二高紀錄 。據新華社電國際唱片工業聯合會3日公布的統計數字顯示，英國酷玩樂隊的《X&Y》以全球830萬張的銷售成績位居2005年世界暢銷專輯排行榜的榜首 。曾被主唱克里斯·馬汀形容為：“可能再也做不出來。”就知道外界對Coldplay全新專輯的期待、這張專輯同時也是EMI唱片年度最重要的發行！
