他們深受90年代中期的後英倫搖滾影響，幾個的人夢想是永遠改變搖滾樂。2012年01月16日發行首張專輯《Baby》。
Tribes由Johnny Lloyd（主唱兼吉他手）、Dan White（吉他手）、Jim Cratchley (貝斯手)、Miguel Demelo （鼓手）四人組成。2011年3月，Tribes與Universal Music旗下的Island Records簽約。隨後就在2011年4月15日就發行第一張EP 《We Were Children》，其中的主打單曲“We Were Children”迅速就占據了BBC Radio 1熱單的第一名。 2011年 10月 7日發行第二張 EP《When My Day Comes》。2012年01月16日發行首張專輯《Baby》。2013年5月20日發行第二張專輯《Wish To Scream》。發行兩張專輯後樂隊沒有選擇繼續續約，樂隊在2013年11月7日通過官方Twitter正式宣布解散並對歌迷表示遺憾。
