這張《Serious Hits…Live!》現場實況的CD早在1990年，菲爾．柯林斯人氣頂沸時便已發行，但當時是15首歌的單張CD編輯版，而2003年所要發行的DVD卻是當時在德國柏林舉行的大型演唱會全部實況，分為兩張DVD收錄，總共演唱會將近160分鐘，觀眾將可看到現場由日落西山一直唱到晚上；表演的歌曲支支都是菲爾．柯林斯個人演唱生涯黃金時期作品。
