a.m.是指上午 a.m.=am
p.m.是指下午 p.m.=pm
用法說明
意義相當於 before midday,in the morning,所以不能與 in the morning 連用.如： 正：at 7 a.m.在上午七點 正：at 7 (o’clock) in the morning 在上午七點 誤：at 7 a.m.in the morning
不單獨使用,要與表示時間的數字連用 (置於數字之後).如： Openfrom 8 a.m.to 6 p.m.(營業時間)從上午8點到下午6點 I’ll comeat 10:20 a.m.我將明天上午10點20分來.
不能與 o’clock 連用.如： 正：at 9 a.m.在上午九點 誤：at 9 o’clock a.m.
不僅可作狀語,而且可作定語.如： the 8 a.m.train from London從倫敦開來的上午8點的列車 註：P.M./ p.m.(下午)的具體用法同此.
