當電動機斷路器自行運作可手動控制(可通過按鈕控制或鏇鈕控制),連線接接觸器時可遠程控制;電動機的保護由集成熱繼-電磁設備的斷路器提供; 所有帶電部件均已防護,無法由前面板直接由手指觸摸; 具有欠壓脫扣模組,使得斷路器可以在欠壓條件下斷開; 具有分勵脫扣模組,該元件的斷開可採用遠程控制; 開放安裝式和封閉式電動機斷路器的操控器均可使用3個掛鎖鎖定在“N/C”位置。

選擇電動機斷路器的原則

使用斷路器來保護電動機,必須注意電動機(主要是交流感應電動機)的兩個特點:其一是具有一定的過載能力;其二是起動電流通常是額定電流的幾倍(可逆運行或反接制動時甚至可達十幾倍)。所以,為了保證電動機可靠地運行和順利地起動,在選擇斷路器時應遵循以下原則:

(1)按電動機的額定電流來確定斷路器的長延時動作電流整定值。

(2)斷路器的6倍長延時動作電流整定值的可返回時間要長於電動機的實際起動時間。

(3)斷路器的瞬時動作電流整定值:籠型電動機應為8~15倍脫扣器額定電流;繞線型電動機應為3~6倍脫扣器額定電流。

當然,對於需要頻繁起動的電動機,如果斷相運行機率不高或者有斷相保護裝置,採用熔斷器與磁力起動器結合的方式來控制和保護,也是比較合適的,因為這種保護方式便於遠距離控制。
