金融英語信函與對話

長期以來,在不少財經、金融院校,專業英語的教學一直未受到應有的重視,普遍存在著只注重基礎英語4、6級考試通過率而忽視甚至放棄了對學生進行全面、系統和規範的專業英語培訓。這樣做的結果,使得許多學生畢業後不能很快勝任本職工作,比如在用英文草擬涉外金融函電時感到很吃力,在進行翻譯或與外國金融機構工作人員通過電話交談時或在業務談判等一系列外事活動中感到緊張而不知所措。為根本扭轉這種局面,使金融、財經院校畢業生儘快適應在中國加入WTO後其金融市場更加開放的形勢,在出版了精讀教材《金融英語閱讀》一書後,我們又及時地編寫了這本書,以滿足廣大讀者的需求。 適用對象 這一專業英語讀本適用於下列人員: 1、財經、金融外貿院校高年級學生,尤其是金融英語系高年級學生; 2、全國各地銀行學校或類似的中等專業學校的老師; 3、在金融系統工作的非英語專業人員,特別是在涉外金融機構工作,需要進一步提高金融英語水平的中方職員; 4、準備參加中國人民銀行系統金融英語考試的人員,因為它是屬於金融英語證書考試參考書之一。

該書實際上是兩門實務性較強的專業英語課程的有機結合。其中一門是“金融英語函電”,它不僅包括信函、傳真、電傳和電子郵件等現代商業聯繫方式的基本要求和規範(如格式、結構、規則、方法等),還有近百封不同類別(如銀行業務、保險、投資等)的函電範例。第二門是“金融英語對話”,它所涉及的內容既有一般外事活動(如訂機票、訂旅館房間、寫感謝信等),也有銀行業務活動、行銷學、企業管理、公司金融、財會、東南亞金融危機、商業組織以及電子商務等。
