酷冰俠就像他的名字一樣，是一個很酷的黑人，早年就是超能先生最好的朋友之一，他的超能力就是迅速將空氣中的水分凍結，踩著冰刀，可以在凍結在地面，甚至是空中的冰面上滑行，速度很快，而且他控制的冰還有很強的殺傷力；當超人被禁止在社會上以超人身份露面之後，他是超能先生唯一保持聯絡的超人朋友（當然要除了超能先生的家人），他們每個星期三晚上都會以打保齡當作藉口去監聽警察廣播，尋找需要“大顯身手”的機會。酷冰俠還有一個妻子。
