製作人艾倫形容比爾“是一個對科學有狂熱的天才”，他游泳、開飛機、高空彈跳、跳降落傘，無所不能也無所不做。他會不斷地為孩子解釋一個科學概念，直到他們完全了解而且感到興奮為止。艾倫視這個節目為闔家共賞的節目，她開玩笑地說自己...(展開全部)此節目的形式是以九十年代美國兒童的品味來設計，以上肩和觀點鏡頭，營造親臨現場、即時拍攝的影像風格，並運用大量娛樂性圖表、特效、喜劇效果、音樂、三秒鐘的短畫面、快速率剪輯。此外，在比爾解說現象時，還不時穿插短段式的真實影片或資料片。例如提到沒有大氣層會讓人覺得很熱，立刻插入一位胖子拿扇子猛扇的生活影片，以及閱兵典禮中貴賓一直用手帕擦汗的資料畫面。節目中固定會將該集主題排成一段MTV式音樂帶。片尾，比爾總是出其不意的在冰河上、在恐龍的挖掘地點、在海里，向觀眾大喊：“這就是科學的力量！！”科學就在比爾德詮釋與帶動下，成為一件既酷又炫的事。

TheshowwashostedbyBillNye,bothascientistandacomedian!Eachepisodewouldfocusonacertainscientificsubject.Billwouldtalktoviewersaboutthissubject,usingalotofhumouranddemonstrations.Theshowfeaturedmanydifferentsequences,allhavingsomethingtodowiththetopicoftheepisode,includingcomedyclips,alongwithamusicvideoforaparodyofapopularsong,withnewlyricstofitthesubject.Guestsweresometimesfeaturedintheseriesaswell.
WhenIwasshownepisodesofthisshowinhighschool,IfoundthatIdidn'tenjoythemsomuchanymore.However,that'sjustme,I'mcertainlynotsayingthatonlykidswouldenjoyit.I'msuresomeoftheotherstudentsinthosescienceclasseswithmelikedtheepisodestheywereshown!Formanykids,"BillNye,theScienceGuy"waseducationalwithitssciencelessons,aswellentertainingwithitshumour!Itcouldalsodothesameforcertainhighschoolstudents,andmaybeothers.Inconclusion,Billandtheothersbehindthisshowdeservealotofpraise!
