個人簡介
1983年7月畢業於雲南大學生物系植物專業，獲學士學位。
1988年7月和1995年3月分別在雲南大學和中國科學院昆明植物研究所獲理學碩士和博士學位。
1999年在日本京都大學做“招聘的外國人學者”。
2000年和2001年之交在密蘇里植物園和哈佛大學做短期訪問。
現從事東亞南部界面高級孤立類群的起源適應、演化規律的研究以及具體植物區系和保護生物學研究。先後主持國家973項目課題（縱向嶺谷區生態系統特徵成分與穩定性機制，2003CB415103）、國家自然科學基金面上、中科院重大項目課題或專題多項。近十年堅持在無量山進行區系研究，較為完整地掌握了該地的種子植物種類和分布，提出了的“區系平衡點”、“區系存在度”被作為“中國種子植物區系研究”重大項目的創新點寫入總結報告；堅持保護區的具體區系研究，為4個國家級和1個省級自然保護區的成功申報提供了植物方面的完整資料。在Molecular Ecology 、Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution、Taxon、Annals of Botany、Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society、Journal of Plant Research等國內外重要期刊上發表研究論文90餘篇。其中，指導博士生髮表的“Chloroplast phylogeography of Dipentodon (Dipentodontaceae) in southwest China and northern Vietnam”（發表在Molecular Ecology ，當年IF=5.169）一文榮獲2009年度雲南省優秀科技論文一等獎。擔任Journal of Systematics and Evolution和《植物生態學報》編委，中科院生物多樣性與生物地理學重點實驗室學委會委員，環保部重大課題“中國高等植物紅色名錄”編委，國家重大出版工程《中華大典－生物學典－植物分典》主編。
