Kate Walsh直到23歲這位英國才女自製音樂大碟，擊敗了多名國際歌手榮登英國iTunes下載榜榜首。精通古典鋼琴、吉他的她，沒有iPod，卻俘虜了iPod迷的心。
Walsh將歌曲上載MySpace 網站後，不久即大受歡迎。她其後說服 iTunes 在網上發售《Tim's House》，很快就成功登上下載大碟榜首。
在應邀到倫敦的蘋果分店表演接受訪時Walsh直認並非iTunes固定顧客，“實際上，我還未擁有iPod呢！”沃爾什自製大碟的成功經驗，證明有創作才華的歌手毋須再靠唱片公司出碟。
樂評
《Tim's house》看上去是個很安靜的女孩，音樂也是波瀾不驚。鋼琴聲，吉他聲，還有她的聲音。聽上去很健康，很乾淨，好像用1：99的消毒水洗手洗了10秒以上。感覺是一個12點前回家的乖乖女，會過一成不變的生活，按時起床，準時赴約，因此音樂也是一個調調，訴說著戀愛中的小喜小悲。聽了以後卻無驚無喜。
快到4點的時候醒來，聽她的歌，賴在床上，想到張愛玲《封鎖》中的那個她，一個有標緻容顏，得體舉止，卻無法讓人記著的她。
Kate Walsh也許便是這種女孩，有琴技，有歌技，但我可以記住她嗎？
封套上的女孩子，安靜祥和。陽光從她的身邊斜過來，她微卷的頭髮在陽光下被鑲了一層金邊。她身後的街道幽深，她的斜睨微露倔強，我看不清她的表情，似笑非笑。
Tim's House，於我，正如一座湖邊小屋，微風輕繞。於一個午後，戴上耳機，音樂流淌，我仿佛坐在星賢的湖邊小屋，面前是碧波起伏的湖水，微風從遠處捎來一朵雛菊，於是我對著她，微笑。
乾淨的聲音，純色的曲調，簡單的編曲。也許沒有太多的激情，可是誰能說，平靜裡面就沒有感情呢？這樣的音樂，最適合，在你需要平靜的時候，來聽。抑或，發獃的時候。思緒就任著音樂飄蕩開去，也不知飄了多遠，再回來，我還是在我的湖邊小屋，面前還是一波湖水。只是那圈圈氤開的餘波證實著，有風，過也。
也許我不會記住這個歌手，但是我會記得，我聽過她的歌。
